Concentration in Artificial Intelligence

With the concentration in artificial intelligence, students will develop skills in today’s most relevant area of computing – machines that mimic cognitive functions, such as learning, problem-solving, pattern recognition, and language understanding. Program Goals

Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of topics in computing systems such as programming language paradigms, operating systems, computer networks, and high-performance computing.
Perform effectively as a team leader as well as a member, by actively participating in the team, completing assigned tasks on schedule and working toward a common goal.
Apply critical thinking skills by analyzing facts using appropriate methodologies to relate the issue to the known body of knowledge and drawing sound conclusions.
Apply knowledge and skills to successfully design, develop or enhance, and implement shareable projects that advance computer science in applied areas.
